Aspen Medical is accepting applications for GP/OB-GYN to provide medical support to an NGO in Mogadishu, Somalia.

We offer competitive rates, travel, and accommodation.    Duration: 3 years (+2)   Rotation: September 2-29, 2024 Scope of work:  Routine wellness consultations.  Family planning and contraceptives.  Prenatal/ante-natal advice.  Management of basic gynaecological conditions including but not limited to yeast infections, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), and dysmenorrhea.

   Management of victims of sexual assault.  Prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV.  Requirement:   The first-level medicine and surgery degree with a minimum of 3 years of progressive post-qualification clinical experience.

  Board-certified/postgraduate certified by an appropriate body following the successful completion of specialist training in Family Practice, Reproductive Health, and Female Wellness, with a minimum of three years of progressive post-specialist qualification.

  Experience in Gynaecology and Obstetrics   Currently registered and licensed to practice medicine   English proficiency-a minimum of Level B 2 is required.
