We seek a professional with the ability to connect with key players in the construction industry to secure projects and boost our sales presence in Uganda. In this role, not only will you tackle direct sales responsibilities, but you will also cultivate strong partnerships that enhance both our sales volume and the esteemed reputation of our company in the region.
About the profile
The chosen candidate will be the first full-time sales engineer based in Uganda, reporting directly to the Country Sales Manager of Alumil Systems East Africa Ltd in Kenya. This role demands a contemporary salesperson who brings together both structural expertise and excellent interpersonal skills. You should be dynamic, detail-oriented, and possess a vibrant personality.

Main challenges:
Ensure the precise execution of the company’s commercial and credit policies, manage payment collections, and achieve financial goals within your client base
Nurture and sustain robust, long-term relationships with existing and potential partners to build a loyal network for Alumil
Engage regularly with our partners (fabricators, dealers, architects), offering both technical and commercial support to elevate their performance in the market
Identify and onboard new partners for Alumil while expanding our market share through cross-selling and up-selling opportunities
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the market and products, consistently updating the team with insights regarding competition, product offerings, and market dynamics through thorough mapping and analysis
Represent Alumil at industry exhibitions and roadshows in the region, promoting our innovative products and services to fabricators and specifiers
Requirements
Education :
A Technical Degree would be highly valued
Participation in certified sales seminars is a plus
Strong command of the English language is essential
Professional Skills :
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the industry (including competitors) is required
B2 B sales experience is mandatory
Familiarity with aluminum and construction fields is advantageous
Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing modern IT systems (such as CRM, ERP, Business Reporting, and technical calculation models) is essential
