The Operations Coordinator will act as a key link between plant operations in Uganda and senior management based in India. The role involves monitoring operational performance, supporting maintenance and process efficiency, preparing reports, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in grain-based distillery operations and be comfortable with frequent travel to the plant site.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate between plant operations and senior management to ensure smooth communication and execution.
Monitor plant performance, including mechanical, maintenance, and process parameters.
Analyze operational data and prepare periodic performance reports.
Identify areas for improvement and support implementation of process optimization initiatives.
Assist in troubleshooting operational and maintenance issues.
Ensure adherence to operational standards, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks.
Support maintenance planning and reliability improvement activities.
Travel to Uganda plant site regularly for on-ground coordination and review.
Key Requirements:
Maximum age: 45 years
Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in grain-based distillery operations
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, maintenance practices, and process operations
Proven ability to coordinate between cross-functional teams and leadership
Willingness to travel frequently to Uganda and manage international assignments
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field
Experience in MIS reporting and performance tracking
Certifications in maintenance reliability (e.g., TPM, RCM) are an advantage
