1. Job Details
Job Title: SME Direct Sales Agent
Function: Enterprise
Location: Kampala
Reporting To: SME Account Manager
2. Purpose of the Role
The SME Direct Sales Agent is responsible for generating leads and closing sales for the Enterprise Department. The role focuses on selling enterprise solutions including dedicated internet, shared internet, corporate voice, and other enterprise products and services.
3. Key Deliverables & Responsibilities
3.1 Sales Planning, Lead Generation & Closure
Expected Results: Achievement of monthly sales targets
Strong and well-managed sales pipeline
Key Activities: Generate leads through field prospecting and sales activities
Conduct cold calls and follow up on referrals
Schedule and attend client visits
Identify customer needs and pitch appropriate enterprise solutions
Convert prospects into paying customers
Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline
3.2 Prospect Engagement & Follow-up
Expected Results: Increased conversion rate of prospects to customers
Well-maintained and updated customer database
Key Activities: Follow up consistently on prospects to drive sales closure
Maintain and update a database of prospects and onboarded customers
Track and document customer interactions
3.3 Compliance & Professional Conduct
Expected Results: Full adherence to company and regulatory requirements
Professional representation of the organization
Key Activities: Comply with all regulatory, company, and agency policies, processes, and procedures
Attend scheduled and impromptu meetings and training sessions
Adhere to assigned routes and journey plans as directed by the manager
3.4 Reporting & Feedback
Expected Results: Timely and accurate reporting
Effective communication of market insights and challenges
Key Activities: Submit daily sales reports (sales, leads, challenges/issues)
Provide market intelligence and business feedback to management
Attend to customer complaints or escalate them to the Account Manager
4. Decision Level
This role operates primarily at a contributory level , with defined responsibilities as outlined below: Prime: Accountable for achieving individual sales targets and managing assigned prospects.
Shared: Collaborates with peers and supervisors on sales strategies and customer solutions.
Contributory: Provides input on market intelligence and customer feedback to support management decisions.
