Lifting Specialist Full Time, Kampala

Exquisite Solution Limited, on behalf of our client in the oil and gas sector, is seeking an experienced Lifting Specialist to implement international best practices in rigging and lifting operations. The role includes providing expert guidance, staff training, lift plan development, and assessing equipment and personnel competency while ensuring safe and efficient lifting activities across site operations.

Key Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with lifting procedures and standards across all site operations.
Serve as the primary authority on the safety and technical aspects of lifting activities within the assigned area.
Plan, review, and supervise all critical and non-critical lifting operations, including methodology and execution.
Develop, review, and update lift plans, including engineering drawings and calculations.
Verify the competency of lifting personnel and identify training needs to maintain high operational standards.
Oversee the selection, inspection, and maintenance of lifting and transport equipment to ensure compliance and safe working condition.
Implement and manage regular inspection and maintenance schedules, and ensure adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
Establish a reliable system for recording, reporting, and addressing risks, including post-lift reviews and corrective actions

Qualifications and Requirements Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Oil and Gas or related Field
Certifications in LEEA, EAL, CPA is essential.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in lifting operations, with supervisory-level exposure.
Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, inspection, and handling practices.
Familiar with international standards (BS, LOLER, NORSOK).
Oil & Gas industry experience required.
Certifications in inspecting cranes, forklifts, hoists, winches, and wire ropes.
Positive attitude, good communication skills, and team-oriented mindset
