The Senior Supply Chain Specialist - APAC is responsible for planning, organizing the comprehensive purchasing, distribution and logistics functions for franchise and company owned restaurants in the Asian Region.

This includes managing the relationship between suppliers, distributors, franchisees/operations and Five Guys. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Monitors inventory and expiry dates at all levels (supplier, DC, store) to prevent exposure to loss from occurring.• Ensures that efficient costing techniques are used to achieve overall best landed cost for products (i.e.

order brackets, unbundling cost, etc.)• Monitors supplier performance through pre-assigned KPIs (i.e.


Identifies problem areas and issues, taking appropriate actions and measures to reach the desired performance level when necessary.

Continually strives for service, efficiency and quality control improvement.• Ensure suppliers are fully aligned with QA/QC requirements and brand standards through implementing quality control processes and issue resolution.• Manage and validate food and non-food store delivered prices and provide weekly/monthly reporting updates as required as well as ensuring all systems are updated (i.e.

Crunchtime, DC order guides).• Tracks product Issues/complaints through Food Logi Q.

Follows up on questions, issues, & resolutions with appropriate actions for all categories except Protein and Distribution.• Supports franchisees and distributors with Demand and Supply Planning, ensuring adequate product availability, while maximizing freshness and minimizing shelf life / expiry exposure.• Proactively identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and improving quality in the supply chain.• Supports other International markets for items originating from Asia.• Closely manages weekly food and packaging prices and provides weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting updates.• Maintains Five Guys vendor information.• Supports the Supply Chain Manger APAC with the distributors in relation with supply/demand planning and inventory management ensuring adequate product availability, while maximizing freshness and minimizing shelf life / expiry exposure.

Education/Experience:• 4 year college Degree required.

MBA preferred.

Equivalent life and work experience considered.• 3+ years of food service sales and/or purchasing experience is required.• Knowledge of and expertise in sourcing techniques is required, including the ability to evaluatecurrent and future market conditions, negotiate, and multi task.• Strong distributors/consolidators/service provider network/knowledge.

Demonstrated International networking skill and experience preferred.• Thorough understanding of produce, protein, dairy, packaging and commodity markets is required.

Language Ability: Excellent verbal and written skills are necessary.

The successful candidate/employee will be required to use written, verbal and group communication skills.

The ability to read, write and comprehend complex instructions and correspondences is necessary.

It also requires the ability to read, analyze, create and interpret general business memos and documents.

Fluency in English is required.

Computer Skills: Exceptional computer skills required in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, and other inventory and contract management spend software program.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position requires no direct supervisory responsibilities Physical Demands: Work from our regional office in Hong Kong a minimum of 2 to 3 days/week.

Travel will be required 25% of time to include international travel by air, rail and automobile.
