Exquisite Solution Limited, a leading HR firm, seeks an HSE Officer for our client in the manufacturing industry. The role involves implementing and overseeing HSE programs to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will help drive a strong safety culture and reduce operational risks.
Key Responsibilities Support the development and ongoing improvement of QHSE management systems.
Coordinate regular OHS meetings, including incident reviews and implementation of corrective actions.
Assist in creating and executing training plans for OH&S, EMS, and QMS teams.
Monitor outsourced services (pest control, PPE cleaning, signage) for quality and contract compliance.
Identify and advise on proper hazardous waste disposal.
Conduct monthly waste inspections and ensure valid waste disposal certificates are maintained.
Assist in investigating workplace incidents and accidents, track trends, and support preventive measures.
Maintain accurate records, meeting minutes, and reports for management use.
Guide staff on completing LD 31 workers’ compensation forms.
Enforce HSE compliance for all employees and visitors on site.
Share regular internal health and safety communications.
Lead safety orientation sessions for new staff.
Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Certification or Diploma in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Management from a recognized body (e.g., NEBOSH).
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in manufacturing, paint, or chemical industries.
Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety hazards in industrial settings.
Familiarity with QMS, EMS, and OHS standards and compliance requirements.
Proven ability to coach teams and deliver effective presentations.
Sound understanding of industrial relations and workplace dynamics.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proactive with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Basic knowledge of First Aid and Fire Safety procedures.
