Job Description JOB SUMMARYTo coordinate the implementation of transmission projects plans to meet the future demand in line with Company strategic objectivesKEY RESULT AREAS• Advise the Chief Technical Officer on the strategy for th efficient and effective delivery of Projects• Timely delivery of Projects, within budget and as per specifications set by the project owner• Communication including Projects stakeholders engagement and handling of related disputes etc.• Reporting on project progress, including but not limited to project risks nd recommended mitigation measures, accountability etc.• Effective and efficient management of Project resources, including but not limited to the development of customized claims verification and processing procedures and related quality assurance measures.• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and laws, Development Partners Procedures, etc. in as for as project implementation is concerned.• Lead and supervise the Project Implementation Team, including but not limited to mentoring and coaching.• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.THE PERSON SPECIFICATIONS• A master’s degree in Electrical engineering, Power System Engineering or relevant field from a recognised institution.• A bachelor’s degree with honours in Electrical engineering or relevant field from a recognised institution.• Must possess Post Graduate Qualification in Project Planning/Management or Management and a certification in project management.• Registration with the Engineers Registration Board and a member of an engineering professional body.• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in an electrical engineering related field with at least 3 years at a senior level.• Significant experience in Project Management. Must demonstrate competence in the workings of in multi-lateral financing institutions, Procurement Guidelines, contract Management.• Knowledge of projects accounts and handling Projects Meetings.• Familiarity with the electricity sector is an added advantage.• Proven good management and interpersonal skills.• Computer skills, and knowledge of application of related project management software.• Can demonstrate a background of personal and strategic leadership.• Highly motivated, innovative and committed team player. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND REMUNERATIONThe holder of this position will be offered a contract subject to the Ministry of Public Service Guidelines on the rationalization Exercise of Government Institutions.
