The business operations of the Joban Group currently encompass seven business sectors, Textiles, Paper Conversion, Engineering, Supplies, Energy, Consumer Products, Chemicals and Information Technology.

Position: General Manager / Business Unit Manager Location: Kampala (Uganda)Job Profile: Oversee daily operations including sales, production, procurement, HR, and R& D.

Create and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and set performance targets.

Manage production processes to meet quality standards across various sectors.

Ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and optimize supply chain efficiency.

Lead R& D efforts to develop new products or improve existing ones.

Work with finance to ensure accurate reporting and manage financial transactions.

Develop strategic plans for business growth in printing, paper, and packaging.

Monitor market trends and identify expansion opportunities.

Set and track business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Ensure product quality through strict quality control and compliance with regulations.

Handle budgeting, financial analysis, and profit and loss management.

Oversee HR functions such as recruitment, training, and performance management.

Drive marketing efforts to expand market share and build client relationships.

Maintain strong vendor relations for procurement and favorable pricing.

Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance within the factory.

Desired Candidate: Any Graduate with minimum 5 – 7 years in the overall management and strategic direction in Printing, Paper & Packaging Industry including experience with scholastics, office stationery, general printing, and security printing.

Africa experience is must.
