Job Title:  Marketing, Products and Pricing Executive
Function:  Home Broadband
Location:  Uganda
Reporting To:  Lead Operations


1. Purpose of the Job

The Marketing, Products and Pricing Executive is responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive customer acquisition, retention, and overall profitability within the Home Broadband business.

The role aligns product offerings with market demand, sets competitive pricing structures, and implements effective marketing initiatives to position the business strongly within a competitive telecommunications landscape.


2. Key Deliverables and Responsibilities


Marketing Monitor market trends, conduct competitor analysis, and gather customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.

Identify and analyze industry and geographic trends with business strategy implications, regularly updating Home Broadband and Data Management teams on market and competitor activities.

Assess the impact of product propositions and launches on market share and overall industry size.

Analyze drivers for acquisition, retention, and churn and manage the portfolio through pricing, revenue strategies, and solution enhancements.


Pricing Ensure alignment across the data ecosystem (Fixed, Mobile, operating companies, and group functions) on pricing offers being executed.

Oversee pricing of new tariffs and promotions for all Home Broadband products.

Develop competitive pricing, revenue, and solution propositions across all revenue streams, including device sales (Mi Fi, routers, ODU packages).

Take full accountability for product lifecycle management of Home Broadband offers.

Conduct post-promotion and post-price-change reviews and ensure timely system updates.


Branding Ensure products align with Group packaging and branding standards.

Define and maintain a clear Unique Selling Proposition (USP) for each package and product.

Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted messaging and content that communicates product benefits and value propositions.

Ensure monthly special offers are implemented to drive profitability and revenue in line with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

Ensure both back-office and field teams are appropriately branded.


Vendor Relationship Management Maintain regular communication with vendors.

Provide feedback and collaborate on joint initiatives to enhance device offerings and product performance.


Device Inventory Management Implement inventory tracking and auditing procedures.

Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure stock accuracy.

Conduct regular reconciliations to maintain optimal inventory levels.


Device Testing and Quality Assurance Establish and enforce quality control standards.

Conduct device testing and coordinate with suppliers to improve device performance and reliability.


Product Management Raise Product Change Requests (CRs), Notes for Approval (NFAs), and Product Change Notifications (PCNs).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute product launches, including research, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.


Requirements

Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Commerce, Finance, Marketing, or a related field

Strong understanding of telecommunications industry trends

Experience Required 2–3 years of sales and marketing experience within telecommunications, FMCG, or retail industries

Experience in product management
