UCOBADI is an Implementing Partner of the USAID/ Improving Care and Resilience for Children and Youth Activity (USAID/ICARE) in East Central Uganda whose goal is to prevent new HIV infections and reduce vulnerability among OVC and Adolescent Cirls and Young Women. The expected results for the project include; Strengthened and sustained identification, retention, and viral suppression of children and adolescents with HIV, along with caregivers, Improved health and prospects and reduced risk of violence and HIV for highly vulnerable adolescents, and Strengthened prevention and response to violence against children and youth.
Requirements
• Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or other relevant field; Professional certification (CPA or ACCA).
• Minimum of eight years of experience in administrative and financial management of large- scale, complex, programs, including experience in managing donor-funded grants and subcontracts/ grants
• Experience in risk management and implementation of internal controls
• Good understanding of USC donor rules
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief of Party, DFO is responsible for overall accounting and financial management of the USAID/ICARE activity and works with MUCOBADI staff to ensure project resources are effectively and efficiently used in order to achieve project objectives and results.
S/he will supervise, finance, grants, procurement, logistics, and Human resource staff within the organization to ensure financial and operational information are provided to project leadership technical staff, and MUCOBADI top leadership for timely decision making.
Ensure that project implementation is done in an environment of strong controls and that the project complies with MUCOBADI and USAID rules and regulations and that appropriate systems and procedures are in place.
