Accounting Officer Full Time, Kampala

Exquisite Solution Limited , a leading HR recruitment and management firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Officer  to join our client’s dynamic team in the oil and gas sector. The Accounting Officer will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data by maintaining precise records, supporting tax compliance, and enhancing the overall efficiency of financial operations

Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.

Perform general ledger reconciliations and assist in the timely completion of month-end closing activities.

Prepare and file statutory tax returns, ensuring full compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.

Support both internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations

Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and accurate reporting.

Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to provide financial insights and contribute to data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Previous experience in a similar industry is a plus

Strong work ethic and the ability to maintain confidentiality with discretion.

Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a high level of initiative.

Flexible and able to adapt quickly to dynamic work environments and shifting priorities.

Effective team player with a cooperative and collaborative mindset
