Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced CMA / Finance Manager to oversee plant-level costing, budgeting, MIS reporting, inventory control, and financial analysis for Ethanol, ENA (Extra Neutral Alcohol), and CO operations. The role requires close coordination with production, excise, procurement, and marketing teams to ensure cost efficiency, yield optimization, and statutory compliance within a distillery setup.
Key Responsibilities
1. Costing & Cost Control
Product costing for Ethanol, ENA, and CO (Batch/Process Costing).
Preparation of detailed cost sheets and variance analysis.
Monitoring raw material consumption (molasses/grain), chemicals, utilities, steam, power, and water.
Standard costing and reconciliation with actual costs.
Joint cost allocation and by-product costing.
Yield monitoring and process loss analysis.
Cost per litre analysis for Ethanol & ENA.
Break-even and sensitivity analysis.
2. Budgeting & Financial Planning
Preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
Monthly budget vs. actual analysis with variance reporting.
Capex budgeting and project cost monitoring.
Contribution margin analysis by product line.
Evaluation of new projects and expansion feasibility.
3. Inventory & Statutory Compliance
Monitoring RM, WIP, FG, and by-product inventory.
Reconciliation of stock with production and excise records.
Ensuring compliance with excise and statutory norms for alcohol manufacturing.
Maintenance of cost records as per regulatory requirements.
Cost audit preparation and coordination with auditors.
Assistance in statutory and internal audits.
4. MIS & Reporting
Preparation of plant-level MIS reports.
Product-wise profitability analysis.
Daily/weekly production and financial dashboards.
5. Working Capital & Commercial Support
Monitoring receivables (OMCs / Industrial buyers).
Payables management.
Cash flow forecasting at plant level.
Supporting pricing decisions and tender submissions.
Close coordination with production, procurement, and marketing teams.
Skills & Competencies Required
Strong expertise in Process Costing (Mandatory)
Experience in Distillery / Ethanol / Sugar Industry
ERP Knowledge (SAP / Oracle / Tally)
Advanced MS Excel skills
Strong analytical, reporting, and coordination skills
Understanding of excise regulations in alcohol manufacturing
