Role Profile: The Brand Manager at Watu Uganda will take on the responsibility of strategically planning, executing, and overseeing marketing projects and campaigns aligned with Watu’s brand and communication objectives.

The position entails close collaboration with cross-functional teams, playing a key role in developing innovative marketing strategies.

  Position; Reporting To; Department; Location;   Brand Manager Country Manager and Head of Brand   Brand & Communications Uganda Role Purpose: The Brand Manager will be tasked with measuring and assessing the impact of marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with overarching goals and objectives.

This role combines strategic thinking, creative development, and analytical skills to drive the success of Watu's marketing efforts.

This role requires a dynamic individual with a strategic mindset, strong collaboration skills, and a proven ability to drive impactful marketing initiatives.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Project Marketing Lead will be responsible for developing creative strategies and measuring the success of marketing efforts.

MAIN ROLE DESCRIPTION: ●             Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with Watu Africa's brand and communication objectives.

Identify key target audiences and tailor marketing approaches to effectively reach and engage them.

●             Campaign Execution: Lead the end-to-end execution of marketing projects and campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to bring marketing initiatives to fruition.

●             Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Development, and Creative, to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.

Foster a collaborative environment to enhance the effectiveness of integrated marketing campaigns.

●             Creative Development: Spearhead the creation of compelling and innovative marketing materials, content, and campaigns that resonate with the target audience.

Oversee the production of visuals, copy, and other creative assets in line with brand guidelines.

●             Performance Measurement: Implement and utilize metrics and analytics tools to measure the impact and effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on campaign performance and recommend adjustments as needed.

Key Performance Indicators : Assess the quality and relevance of market research data gathered and its impact on marketing strategies.

Ensure marketing projects and campaigns are executed within budget and assess the return on investment (ROI) for each.

Evaluate the quality and impact of marketing materials, including the design, messaging, and branding.

Ensure that marketing projects and campaigns are delivered on time and meet established deadlines.

Monitor and report on the performance of key competitors in the market to inform Watu Africa's marketing strategies.

Key Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

Proven experience of 5+ years in marketing, strategic marketing with a special focus on campaign management.

Proficiency with marketing software and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media management platforms, email marketing software).

Strong understanding of digital marketing channels & tools and copywriting skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
