3853 BR Facilities Project Manager Aga Khan Education Services The position Aga Khan Education Service, Uganda is currently seeking to recruit a Facilities Project Manager for AKES, Uganda, which operates three schools in Uganda.

The Facilities Project Manager (FPM) position is a one-year, fixed-term contract to oversee the design and construction of several facilities projects budgeted for 2024.

The FPM will be responsible for tendering, evaluating tenders, selecting design consultants and engineers, selecting contractors, monitoring project construction and certifying project completion.

This will be done in conjunction with the regional facilities team and a Board member of AKES, U.

The requirements Skills A proven record in managing small construction projects, should have structural engineering qualification and experience, and understand structural, architectural and MEP drawings.

S/he should have an eye for detail, be able to manage contractors to meet project timelines and project cost, and trouble-shoot as necessary.

S/he should have strong verbal and written communication skills in English and should be able to use Microsoft Office packages as well as CAD tools.

Qualifications and Experience: Should posses a Bachelor of Science degrees in Engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Project Management (Preferably from reputed college)A minimum of 7 years' relevant work experience.7+ years’ experience of which 5 years and more should have managed a team and handled multiple projects Sector Social Development About the Agency The Aga Khan Education Services () is one of the largest private, not-for-profit, non-denominational educational networks in the Global South.
