About This Job: Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client, in the construction Industry , we are looking for competent , skilled, and experienced Steel Benders to work in Hoima Uganda.

Job Title: Steel Bender Reporting Lines: Supervisor Job summary: The steel bender will work closely with the Supervisor to operate equipment and machines, as well as assist with concrete work on site.

The role involves ensuring the accurate bending of steel reinforcement and supporting other construction tasks as needed.

Responsibilities Perform concrete work as required on construction sites.

Bend and shape steel reinforcement bars according to technical specifications.

Adhere to health and safety procedures to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.

Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for safety.

Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.

Accurately measure and mark steel bars for bending.

Inspect bent steel for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.

Safely use hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, and other related tools.

Collaborate effectively with other workers and teams on the construction site.

Operate steel bending machinery and other relevant equipment proficiently.

Required skills Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in a demanding environment.

Strong knowledge of construction site procedures and practices.

Certification in building and construction.

Ability to accurately read and interpret tape measures and other measurement tools.

Required qualifications Minimum of two years' experience in steel bending.

Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a pass in Mathematics.

Proficient in spoken and written English.

Certification in building and construction.

Recommendation from a previous or current construction site employer.

Basic understanding of alternative methods for raising capital outside traditional lines of credit.

Added Advantage: Recommendation from a previous or current construction site, specifically in steel bending.
