Organized by the Belgian development agency Enabel, it offers you the opportunity to work for one to two years on a development project.

You will join an Enabel project or one of the 28 partner Belgian NGOs and actively contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The wetlands around Fort Portal City play a crucial role in regulating water quality, managing floods, and supporting the Mpanga River catchment.

However, urbanization, agriculture, and industrial growth have degraded these ecosystems.

This project aims to strengthen wetland protection policies, improve drinking water access, and promote conservation advocacy.

Main activities include community engagement through town hall meetings, youth-led environmental awareness sessions, and public awareness campaigns using radio, social media, and cultural performances to highlight wetland restoration successes and sustainable practices.

The Junior Expert in Communications will boost the visibility of Join For Water's wetland restoration projects in Uganda.

By creating communication tools, supporting events, and building networks, the role will strengthen project impact and partnerships with stakeholders.

It will ensure project achievements are documented and shared across countries, while also developing adaptable communication frameworks for other African projects.
