Location: Uganda Department: Sales/Marketing Reports To: Managing Director / Board of Directors / Chairman Overview: An esteemed industrial conglomerate based in Uganda is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales to spearhead its marketing and sales initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in driving sales growth and managing high-performing teams within the industrial sector.

This leadership role demands a strategic thinker who can identify market opportunities, foster customer relationships, and ensure the achievement of ambitious sales targets.

Special Note: This position is only open for Indian Nationals / Citizens.

Preferably these candidates should have experience working in East Africa.

Remuneration Structure: Salary : US$ 5000 – 5500 Net per month paid offshore Accommodation provided NSSF contributions Medical Transport Annual Gratuity Annual Leave and flight tickets to point of origin Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and distribution strategy to optimize sales opportunities and revenue generation.

Lead and mentor the Sales team in crafting proposals that align with client needs and enhance satisfaction, contributing to overall revenue growth.

Establish and maintain a robust Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to strengthen customer relationships and retention.

Collaborate closely with customers to understand their business objectives and tailor solutions that meet their needs.

Drive customer loyalty by cultivating strong relationships and enhancing customer service initiatives across the team.

Define internal guidelines for personal data protection, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations when managing customer data.

Set clear objectives in critical target areas including sales volume, market share, distribution channels, and profit margins to inform promotional strategies.

Analyze market dynamics including costs, competition, and supply-demand metrics to determine optimal pricing strategies for products.

Partner with the Marketing team to penetrate key markets and align sales efforts with overarching business objectives.

Stay abreast of industry trends and shifts, leveraging insights to capitalize on new business opportunities.

Provide actionable feedback to the Content Development team based on customer insights and industry developments.

Identify and recruit top sales talent, ensuring a competent and effective sales department.

Implement a comprehensive sales training program for new employees to build a skilled and knowledgeable sales force.

Regularly meet with Regional Sales Managers and Sales Managers to evaluate company performance and align on strategic initiatives.

Contribute to the design of sales incentive structures and key performance indicators (KPIs) to effectively monitor sales targets.

Investigate factors affecting sales performance and review performance analytics to inform strategic decisions.

Compile and submit detailed monthly sales reports, covering all aspects of the sales operation including regions, branches, distributors, and key customers.

Undertake additional responsibilities as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to achieving organizational goals.

Qualifications: Proven experience (20-23 years) in sales and marketing leadership roles, with at least 5-8 years in a senior management capacity.

Background in the industrial sector is highly preferred, with experience in Uganda, Kenya, or Tanzania seen as an advantage.

Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of motivating teams and enhancing customer service standards.

Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess market trends and identify new business opportunities.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders.

Familiarity with CRM systems and data protection regulations.

Special Working Conditions: Ideal candidates should be aged between 45 to 53 years, possessing extensive experience in the field.
