Hse Assistant Full Time, Kampala

Exquisite Solution Limited, a leading HR recruitment and management company, is seeking a dedicated HSE Assistant to join our client’s dynamic team in the oil and gas sector. The HSE Assistant will support the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols across drilling operations, ensuring compliance with local laws, company policies, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities Assist in the development and continuous improvement of HSE programs for drilling operations.
Conduct routine site inspections and identify potential hazards.
Provide support to rig crews during client-led safety inspections and audits.
Collect, analyze, and archive reports on incidents and near-misses.
Participate in incident investigations and support root cause analysis efforts.
Coordinate HSE training sessions and ensure training records are up to date.
Track injury data and collaborate with HR on medical documentation and follow up.
Monitor environmental protection measures and oversee waste management compliance.
Coordinate with third-party providers for safety-related services and equipment.
Maintain accurate HSE records and contribute to regular performance reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Drilling Engineering or related Field.
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in HSE or safety support roles.
Aged between 21 and 28.
HSE certifications NEBOSH, IOSH is an added advantage
Knowledge of Ugandan and international HSE laws and standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; skilled in risk assessments, training, and safety audits.
Strong teamwork, communication skills, and flexibility with work hours
