Job Description JOB PURPOSE: Reporting to the Principal Officer- Bancassurance, the role will be responsible for selling insurance products to the prospective clients via telephone, generate leads from the Bank’s customer database, and ensure a high-level service experience to customers.LOCATION: KampalaKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Initiate contact with new and pre-existing customers and inquiries seeking to establish a long-term valuable relationship.• Schedule appointments for sales representatives to meet with prospective customers or for customers.• Continuously track generated leads and ensure conversion of sales, track the collection of insurance premiums for sales generated.• Ensure compliance with the Bank’s policies, procedures and Regulatory guidelines and requirements.• Push sales by requesting customers for business and referrals.• Sell partner products over the phone to achieve the set targets by explaining the terms of the insurance product or service to prospective policy holders, without any misleading information or misrepresentation on the benefits or cost of the insurance policy.• Explain to policy holders the nature of information required by the insurer in the proposal form, and the importance of disclosure of material information in the purchase of an insurance contracts.• Respond to potential leads or customer enquiries, resolve customer queries and complaints, escalate in a timely manner within the Bank’s laid down procedures.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: • University bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field from a recognized university.• Possess a Certificate of Insurance (CIU).• At least 1 year in Insurance sales. Life insurance sales will be an added advantage.• Good negotiation and influencing skills.• Strong networking and relationship skills.• Demonstrate confidence and a good sales acumen.• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and communication skills.• Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.• A go getter.• Demonstrate excellent analytical skills.• Demonstrate ability to meet tight deadlines.• High level of integrity and ethical standards.
